SD Gunner.jpg

Here at Port City Animal Hospital, we believe it's important to give back to our community. That's why we have partnered with the SD Gunner Fund.

"The SD Gunner Fund was created to assist Veterans and disabled children with the financial expense of owning much-needed service animals. Service Animals require a variety of necessary items in order to perform their service.  Service dogs are trained to support individuals with mobility, hearing, psychiatric, and brain/neurological disabilities. These dogs are professionally trained to meet the individual needs of their partner and complete tasks such as opening doors, picking up dropped objects, assisting with daily dressing, or pulling a manual wheelchair."

dentistry

dog dental.jpg

Keeping up with your pet's dental health is extremely important. Dogs and cats develop dental disease just like people do. Imagine what your teeth would be like if you didn't brush or floss for 6 months, 1 year, or several years! Dental disease results in chronic infection in the mouth that causes heart disease, lung infections, diabetes, and can even eat away at the bones in the face. Every dog and cat should be getting a professional dental at least once per year. Pets that do typically extend their lifespan by an additional 3 years!

  • Preventative Dental Products

    • These products will only help prevent dental disease, but will not treat any existing dental disease.

  • Dental Radiography

  • Prophylactic Dental Scaling and Polishing

  • Tooth Extractions

  • Tooth/Mouth Pain Control
